Pros and cons of NOS app for iPhone and iPad
NOS app good for
Great news app, but wont allow text selection for word lookup. One has to open the same news story in Safari to use the "Look Up" feature, which defeats the purpose of the app.
Ik probeer om Nederlands te leren, dus deze functie is zeer gewaardeerd :)
Great App although having to wait for days on end for new news content can be tiresome.
Superior designed app by Dutch national broadcaster. Brilliantly designed user interface, great streaming video quality. Most programs in Dutch and some sports programs require Dutch IP address.
Some bad moments
Since the September 29 update the app keeps crashing and can not open it!
Unable to open and use on iPad since upgrading to OS8. Very disappointed to not be able to use this great app anymore.
Good functionality and a super way to keep up-to-date with the Dutch news wherever you are
unfortunately after the last ios update the app has become so slow that it will not download the news anymore fast enough.
Why introduce this app when you cant view any videos of studio sport a/o when you reside abroad (Curacao) because of some stupid restrictions? In this case Louis from Gaal would say: thats an excellent question!
I enjoyed having this app to watch the latest nieuws in Holland. The past two weeks I cant watch the latest nieuws. It always shows "error".
It only lets you watch older nieuws of several days ago.
I hope they fix this.
